Shopping in Salzburg
In the first place, it has to be mentioned that the central position of the Eco-Suite Hotel gives you the opportunity to reach retailers and supermarkets for everyday shopping on foot. Apart from that, Salzburg is a top destination for lovers of international fashion labels and bargain hunters alike. Friends of traditional arts and craft and of classical souvenirs will also get their money’s worth.
Shopping-Paradise Old Town
The Old Town around Getreidegassse, Judengasse, Goldgasse and Linzer Gasse offers an impressive mix of long-standing, traditional shops, subsidiaries of popular chain stores and flagship stores of exclusive labels. Here you will find the latest fashion, high-quality country-style clothes, precious jewels, as well as souvenirs. It is also worth wandering through narrow alleys and the typical archways, because there you may come across one or the other curiosity. Unique shops, like e.g. one for hand-made baubles and Easter eggs, small galleries, ateliers and many vendors of the Salzburg souvenir per se – the authentic Salzburger Mozartkugel – make for the charm of Salzburg. Amidst the magnificent backdrop between the House where Mozart was born, Cathedral, Festival Hall and Old University, 900 small enterprises are waiting for you.
Almost all these shops are open from 10 a.m. to 6 p.m. Monday to Friday, and from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. on Saturday.
